What Sets Us Apart

As a family practice, we care for multiple generations within a family, from toddlers to seniors, and we love being part of each family’s life as we care for their smiles. We offer comprehensive dentistry for patients of all ages, with services such as teeth cleaning, clear aligners, root canals, implants, crowns and bridges, and facial cosmetics including veneers, Botox®, and dermal fillers.

While we provide a full range of dental treatments, we never “sell” dentistry; instead, we educate our patients on their needs to ensure optimal health and let them decide what’s best for them.

Meet Dr. Lear

Dentistry for Dr. Michael Lear is more than just fillings and crowns. Dentistry is the relationships and trust built with his patients and the concern for their oral and overall health. He considers his patients part of his extended family and enjoys getting to know them and their family. Dr. Lear welcomes new patients of all ages, from the first dental visit at a year old and on into adulthood. Dr. Lear would love to add you and your family to his growing family here at Majestic Dental.

EDUCATION AND CONTINUING EDUCATION

Bachelor of Liberal Arts, University of Missouri, Kansas City
Doctorate of Dental Surgery, University of Missouri, Kansas City

Dr. Lear enjoys all aspects of dentistry including cosmetic, implant, and general dentistry. In addition to completing more than 100 hours per year of continuing education, he is active in his local dental society, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Missouri chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry, through which he has been awarded Fellowship status (FAGD).

Dr. Lear has studied under great leadership and he thrives to always continue to grow his skills, be current on all the procedures he performs, and have every case completed to the full satisfaction of his patients. His ultimate rewards are in a patient’s smile that can light up a room and when that patient tells all their family and friends about it.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Dr. Lear and his wife Sherry have four children, Megan, Emilee, Brendan, and Hayden, and a grandson named Tucker. His free time is kept full watching his children become adults, taking in a Sporting KC, City SC, Blues, Mizzou, or Chiefs game, or spending leisure days by the pool with a good book. Dr. Lear also enjoys traveling to discover all the great places this world has to offer.

Meet Dr. Sanford

I am a product of St Peters. I have been blessed with friends and family in all corners of the greater St. Charles area. After attending Francis Howell Central, my education took me around the Midwest from playing soccer in Iowa, to obtaining my Masters in Biochemistry at UMSL, and finishing at UMKC Dental School. My dream has always been to return to my community to share my knowledge and talent with all of those that make St. Charles such a great place to raise a family.

In my free time, my wife, two daughters, and I enjoy playing sports together. Personally, if not in a dental office, my hobbies include masonry, carpentry, hunting, fishing, and all things sports.

With our move into Cottleville, I welcome all persons to join our dental family at Majestic Dental. An office with advanced technology and techniques designed to replace the negative stigmas surrounding dentistry and care for everyone equally, as I would my own family.

The FAGD Difference

I’m an FAGD dentist! What does that mean for you and your family?

FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation.

Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.

To become an AGD Fellow, a dentist must:

Complete over 500 credit hours of CE.
Earn 350 of those 500 credits in live courses.
Pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.

OFFICE MANAGER

I have been with the Majestic Dental Team since 1999. I enjoy interacting and building relationships with our patients. I help to ensure that Majestic Dental runs as smoothly as possible. This includes attending to all business administrative matters, patient treatment planning, and managing the office. I love working with insurance companies and getting the most benefits for patients with their insurance. My priority is to ensure all of our patients have a wonderful experience. I love working at Majestic Dental because we are all team players. We know how to get work done but have a great time doing it. We are all great friends! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, and being with my family.

Jane

DENTAL HYGIENIST

I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 30 years, graduating from St. Louis Community College at Forest Park in 1991.

My favorite part of being a Dental Hygienist is seeing a positive transformation of a patient’s oral health over time and educating patients on the mouth/body connection, and the importance of periodontal assessments, routine cleanings and care, and good home habits. I love meeting people and getting to know my patients over the years of seeing them every few months.

I have been married to my husband, John, for over 30 years and we have three awesome daughters. We also have very spoiled doggies. As a family we enjoy spending time together doing dinners, vacations, and sporting events. I enjoy reading, exercising, and gardening in my free time.

Dental Hygienist

Born and raised in the St. Charles area, I have proudly served my community as a dental hygienist for over 30 years. Watching neighbors become patients, and patients become friends has been a blessing.

Since having joined Majestic Dental, I have been reinvigorated in my love for this field. The attention to detail, advanced procedures, and continually pursuing state of the art care to offer to our patients is incredible. I have found the perfect combination of excellent doctors and team members which allows me to enjoy each and every day.

I have been married for 25 years to my amazing husband. Our amazing daughter is the highlight of our lives. When not in the office, you can find me biking, swimming, and playing board games. You will see a smile on my face at all times, even when losing in a game of boggle.

Melissa

Dental Hygienist

For the past ten years I have been blessed to serve my community through education and compassionate dental care. You can always find me with a smile on my face for I absolutely love what I do! I show my community what a modern dental experience can be in which early detection, education and comfort are key principals for Majestic Dental

When not in the office, you can find me baking elegant desserts for any and all occasions. My sous chef, Finley, is my son and my pride and joy. We love getting outside hiking or exploring local parks.

DENTAL HYGIENIST

Being a hygienist for over 10 years now, one of the things I enjoy most about my job is helping patients feel relaxed and comfortable during their visits. Whether it’s answering questions, easing dental anxiety, or just having a friendly conversation during an appointment, I love getting to know the people in my chair and helping them leave with a healthy, confident smile. I truly enjoy making dental visits feel a little easier and more positive for everyone who walks through the door.

Outside the office my world revolves around my family. My husband, Tylor, and I have two kids, Olivia and Patrick, and a black Lab, Max. We love spending time together watching movies, playing games, being outside, and cheering on or playing various sports. When I have a little downtime I also enjoy gardening, cooking, and getting lost in a good book.

Nicole

DENTAL ASSISTANT

I have been a dental assistant since graduating from dental assisting school in 2009, and immediately was offered a position at what is now Majestic Dental. Most of the time you will see me in the clinical area assisting the doctors for procedures. My goal is to be kind and compassionate so that all our patients can have a great dental experience. One of my goals is to establish great communication with our patients so they are informed about their health and at ease during procedures. The entire team at Majestic Dental works together to make our office calm and professional, but also as fun as possible! I love my family. Although I don’t have children of my own, I do have a little fur baby. I love to spoil my nieces and nephews. I built a house with my boyfriend and can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds!

DENTAL ASSISTANT

My journey as a dental assistant started in 2016 when I attended and completed training. I joined what is now Majestic Dental in 2017 to assist with patient care including keeping the patients informed about upcoming procedures and aftercare along with assisting the doctors. Interacting with the patients is one of my favorite parts of my day. I enjoy the variety my day at the office offers with no two days being the same.

When I’m not busy at the office, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, his daughters, and my son, Lucas, taking our dog on walks, playing volleyball and kickball. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family.

In pursuit of my dreams to work in healthcare, I obtained my dental assisting certificate in 2023 and joined Majestic Dental. The modern technology and advancements have been incredible to learn. The absolute best part of my job, however, is getting to know my patients. The entire Majestic Dental team is wonderful and I love working with them all. I love spending time with my fiancé and our 3 beautiful children. I moved here around 8 years ago from Illinois. My hobbies include fishing, kayaking, exercising, binge watching shark tank, and watching my kids play soccer.

Maddie

DENTAL ASSISTANT

I’ve been a dental assistant for over 10 year and have my Expanded Functions certification. I love helping patients feel comfortable and cared for while creating a positive dental experience, especially for those who may feel nervous about visiting the dentist. Being part of a team that prioritizes patient care and comfort is something I truly value.

I grew up in the St. Charles area and love serving patients in my home community. Outside of work I’m a proud mom to an active little girl and spend most of my free time making the best of memories with her.

I joined the dental field because I love helping people and making a positive impact in their lives. I’ve always found teeth and oral health interesting, and I enjoy being part of a field that helps people feel more confident. I started my journey with Majestic Dental in September 2023. My interest in dentistry became a reality in 2020, and am so grateful to be in this field. I enjoy helping others and being part of a team that also takes pride in seeing others smile.

I do not have any children of my own, but I have my two St. Bernards who are my everything. I have recently become engaged, and I am excited to start planning a wedding. I grew up in the St. Louis area, and am the oldest of 3 kids.

I love being around my family and friends. On the weekends we like spending time with each other. When I am not with my family, I love doing DIY projects whether it’s in my own home or something I can redo and make look new again.

Treatment Coordinator

I’ve been in the dental field for 8 years as a dental assistant before coming to Majestic Dental in May 2024 and moving to the business side as a treatment coordinator. I enjoy helping every patient who comes in the door get the care and smile they deserve.

Majestic Dental works hard to ensure that every patient is comfortable and informed, beginning, middle, and end of all procedures. The team Dr. Lear and Dr. Sanford have put together is top notch and I look forward to working with them for many years to come.

In my free time I like spending time with my husband and our children. We like going to concerts and spending time with our friends and family, watching football and enjoying the outdoors.

Treatment Coordinator

I have worked in the dental field for seven years, but dentistry has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a dental family, which exposed me to the profession and led me to have a passion for helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles.

I’m married to my best friend, and we have one son who keeps us busy and smiling. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and doing fun activities with my son. I love being part of a team that helps patients feel at ease while caring for their dental health.

  Today was my first time at this office.  My insurance changed and I had to switch.   Brandy was my hygienist.  Even though I did not like the news, she was very kind and helped me with options. She was very pleasant to be around.  Same with the dentist.  He gave me several options to choose from.  He was also very kind.  I'd have to say A+.  The office was beautiful and modern.  The ladies at the front desk were also very kind.  I have to say, I'm so glad my insurance changed because I didn't get options from the last dentist.

Charlene and Dr Sanford are incredible and I love how comfortable they make you feel. Both professionals explained step by step, that is priceless in my book and it really helps take some of the fear away, so thank you a thousand times!   I had made my first appointment for a general cleaning but hadn't been yet to see them when a urgent dental issue arose. They were able to see me same day! The dentist spent quite a bit if time with me examining my mouth and teeth in question. He examined my jaw and the related muscles, performed several tests and discovered the issue. He explained in detail what he believed was occurring and what courses of action we could take. I was able to get scanned for a dental appliance with zero discomfort and they are fabricating it with pick up tomorrow. I felt such relief in knowing what was going on and having a plan of action to address the issue before it became a major dental issue. The rlentire staff was friendly and professional.
